Exhibits designed to education visitors about spawning, egg development, and rearing complement an aquarium for viewing rainbow and brown trout at this hatchery which is the largest trout production facility in the Missouri Department of Conservation trout production program. The hatchery typically produces 1,125,000 catchable trout annually and the on site conservation center also features four trails for hiking and nature viewing. Guided hatchery tours are available.

A definite must see. It's free, it's really cool, and your kids will love seeing all those fish. It's been around a while and the building is dated but the presentation before the self-guided tour is informative and pretty cool. Your kids will enjoy this, take a drive around the lake before or after and across the dam. This is a great diversion from the strip.
