The third oldest museum in Missouri, the Stephens Museum houses historical artifacts and papers, natural history objects and animal specimens and a mammal collection. Historic memorabilia and artifacts relate to World War I, African tribes, Native American tribes, Methodist heritage, the Civil War and 19th century life. The Stephens Museum is only open during the summer by appointment.
