Seven miles south of the junction of Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 54, the 18,000 square foot Auto World Museum features the vintage automobile collection of Mr. William E. Backer, a highly successful local manufacturer, businessman and automobile collector. Of his collection of over 120 vintage cars, trucks and other vehicles dating from 1903 to 1993, 84 are on display at Auto World. Auto World also features memorabilia and attractions relating to the history surrounding the automobile in Missouri.
