Locally known as Shaw's Garden, the Missouri Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in the United States and is considered one of the top three in the world. It features 79 acres of landscaped displays, which include rare collections of botanical, horticultural, and historical materials; statuary, architecturally significant buildings, fountains, and the famed Seiwa-en Japanese Garden. The Shaw Nature Reserve, EarthWays Center, and the Butterfly House are also apart of the property.
