To the Sgt.’s family and friends, my heart goes out to you with my prayers. Thank you for the sacrifices you made with him over his career, I know there have been many.
Thank you all,

How uniquely American for a community to stand together to protect the memory and family of a slain soldier from the vile, wretched, despicable actions of a group of over the top religious fanatics.
I commend Rebecca Rooney and all the people who stood up and said, by their actions, that this is simply unacceptable behavior. And in so doing, you have renewed my faith in the American people and what we truly stand for. I am sure that I am not the only American that stands today, proud to know that you have accomplished something that is meaningful beyond a mere headline to a news story!
To the family of SFC C.J. Sadell: I lament the loss of your husband and father. He sounds like a man I would have been proud to soldier with. I understand your pain, anguish and suffering. I can think of one thing that may have meaning to you. When I was a young man, the pain of the Vietnam experience was overwhelming at times. But what I came to find over time was that; although the pain remained, it didn't hurt as much. I hope that, that time comes sooner to you than later. God Bless your husband and your family.
In closing, I would like to say that Weston is a long way from Massachusetts but if I am ever in your neck of the woods I WILL go out of my way to visit Weston: because it would be an Honor to step foot in your town!
