The former residence of Lieutenant General Stephen D. Lee, the youngest Confederate lieutenant general of the Civil War and the first president of the Agricultural & Mechanical College of Mississippi (modern-day Mississippi State University) from 1880 to 1899. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this restored Italianate mansion houses the Florence McLeod Hazard Museum exhibiting Civil War collections and artifacts. Open on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment. The home is available for rental.
