The food is very good; but confirm your prices before receiving your bill. It is expensive.

Nola's dinner menu is pretty standard, expensive, and limited. The New Orlean's Style BBQ Shrimp are easily the best dish, but for some bizarre reason the kitchen refuses to de-vein them? This leaves the diner with a messy dinner, though tastey.

Lunch is defintely reommended, for menu variety as well as price. Nola is a good option, considering it and the infinitely cheaper and more charming Crown are the only decent restaurants in Indianola. Both establishments, however, fall into the typical Southern trap of never, ever, ever, being open.

Oh, and be read to wait a loooong time. Service is almost always criminally slow, and never informed about the dishes.

The Nola is a fantastic little hole in the wall restaurant. I have eaten great food around the states and other countries and the Nola was a delightful surprise.

Hands down, they have the best Hot Tamales I've ever had... not greasy and scary like most. They are also served with three different dips. The Shrimp and Grits were devine. I had a special - Sausage stuffed Pork Chops = perfection. Yes, a bit expensive if you don't pay attention, but absolutely worth it.
