"The construction of this place of worship was begun in 1842 as the Cathedral of the newly established Diocese of Natchez." The church took 40 years to be completed. 12 of its stained glass windows were installed between 1884 and 1893. The three marble altars, communion rail, Episcopal chair, and screens are in Carrara marble. Masses take place Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m., Saturdays 4:00 p.m., and 10:00 a.m. Sundays.
