Furnished with period antiques and original Stanton family pieces, this Greek Revival-style antebellum residence is a National Historic Landmark. The home was completed only months before Frederick Stanton's death in 1859 and was occupied by Union troops during the Civil War. It was the family's home until 1894, at which time the building was transformed into the Stanton College for Young Ladies and renamed Stanton Hall. Tours are given daily, every 30 minutes, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
