First of all - This company, Vienna Desserts also has themselves listed as A Wedding Cake Of Oxford. Both of those companies are one in the same.

Second of all - The owner of Vienna Desserts does not like negative reviews. Even though it is unfair to you - a consumer who is looking at the experience of others in order to decide whether or not to use this company - Vienna Desserts uses "scare tactics" to have any negative comments removed. In the event that a person who uses her bakery writes a negative review, she has an attorney demand that the review be removed from the site. In doing so, Vienna Desserts falsely accuses that reviewer of intentionally making false and misleading comments to cause intentional damage. In order to avoid the threat of any possible legal action, the website owner or the person who wrote the review takes down the negative review - even when the review is true and factual. This is not fair to you because you only get to read about the positive experiences with Vienna Desserts. Therefore, Vienna Desserts uses the legal system to be sure you don't get the whole truth about customers experiences.

Beware of any business that is afraid of you reading the truth.

And lastly, here is a true experience by a former customer of this company:

TO PROJECTWEDDING.COM:

THE BELOW REVIEW OF VIENNA DESSERTS - KNOWN HERE AS "A WEDDING CAKE OF OXFORD" - IS TRUE AND FACTUAL. THE STATEMENTS BEING MADE IN THIS REVIEW WERE STATEMENTS MADE BY AN ACTUAL CUSTOMER WHO USED THIS COMPANY.

TO THE READERS OF THIS REVIEW:

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE OWNER OF VIENNA DESSERTS IS ATTEMPTING TO KEEP YOU - A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER - FROM BEING ABLE TO READ THIS REVIEW. THE PERSON THIS HAPPENED TO IS BEING THREATENED WITH LITIGATION FOR NEGATIVE COMMENTS.

"We hired this place to make our wedding cake. The OWNER OF VIENNA DESSERTS promised us all of what we wanted and even offered us extras to sweeten the deal. We paid her $800.00 for our wedding cake. Our cake was supposed to look like the beautiful yellow and white lace cake on her website. Ours was supposed to be purple and white. Our layers were supposed to be a CHOCOLATE layer, a sugar free white dyed purple layer (for the diabetics and dieters), a Taramisu Layer, and a Red Velvet Layer. There were to be no items on the cake that couldn't be eaten. And there were to be Purple roses on it. She even said she would throw in a couple of dessert sauces at no additional charge. She told us that she gives a certificate to have a free top cake made for your one year anniversary so you didn't have to eat the nasty frozen layer.

All that sounds wonderful doesn't it? Well, about a week before the wedding, I drop by to give her the cake topper. At that time she informs me that she cannot make the flavors we asked for. Says she can only do white, chocolate and strawberry (which at our tasting, she gave us all kinds of flavors to try - now she says that those were just to show how her desserts taste - not her wedding cakes!!!) She also suggests that we change the way the cake looks. Her suggestion is a fondant layer that has designs pressed into it. This is NOT what I want! I'm not happy! My husband speaks to her. We spend three days arguing with her about our cake. It's too late to find someone else to make the cake and she won't refund our $800.00. We are left with no choice but to use her.

What did I get for a wedding cake? I get purple lace that is deformed and misshapen that is laid up against the white fondant and a purple satin ribbon wrapped around it to hold it in place. I get white fondant that is not smooth as it should be - it is lumpy and too thin in some spots and the cake shows through. I get white roses that are terribly made. They are not uniform in size. And I get 4 layers (none sugar free) that are all white cake dyed red to LOOK like Red Velvet! AND it was one of the driest cakes I have ever put in my mouth! This is NOT what I wanted, NOT what I asked for, NOT what I paid for. When she was confronted about it, she gave a million excuses. AND she told us that the beautiful yellow and white cake with the lace scallops on her website that we wanted our cake to look like, was not made by her at all. And that the cakes she has pictures of on her site and in her office were not made by her and were only there to show what kind of things she can do!

And the certificate - she said she didn't know what we were talking about. In the end, the OWNER OF VIENNA DESSERTS ruined my wedding! I was so upset about how ugly, deformed and misshapen my wedding cake was.

My one year anniversary - my husband (who dabbles in cake decorating) made me a beautiful purple and white cake that looked at least as good as that supposed professional (better in my opinion since it was his first try)! And tasted much better! And for my son's wedding, he made the cake and it was black, white and red with marbled fondant and deep red icing roses...it was gorgeous!!! And ten times better than MY WEDDING CAKE!!

If you want anything for a special a occasion, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU WANT!!!"

AND JUST FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES - THERE ARE ALTERED PICTURES OF WEDDING CAKES ON HER WEBSITE.
