My wife and I visited the Mesquite Chop House in Southaven on Feb. 18, 2012. I will begin with my experience on 2/14/2012 @ approx. 12:05 pm with the man who took my reservation information: RUDE, Extremely unprofessional, contemptuous, disrespectful, arrogant, and did I mention rude. His attitude should have been a warning of things to come during our meal on 2/18/2012. Our experience began with a 15 minute wait before being addressed for a beverage. 1).We arrived at 5:00 pm few patrons were in the establishment, therefore no excuses. 2). Bread arrives at table: hard as a rock and cold. 3). Appetizer arrives at table, stuffed portabella mushrooms; ice cold and had to return them. 4) Fried oysters: there was no oysters only fried breading 5) main dish: Cop House Scallops were under cooked, cold in the center. 6) Spinach and Parmesan Risotto was thick as paste and tasted just as bad and there was NO spinach. The server was another issue: untrained and unprofessional. If I had wanted bar room serves, we would have gone to a red neck bar. And last but not least: the Men’s restroom floor was covered in feces!! Someone made a lame attempt to clean it up but only managed to make a bad situation worse. This was a deplorable restaurant experience. ..NASTY AND UNSANITARY.
