St. Mary’s Episcopal Church was established in Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1885, as a special project of the Rt. Rev. H.M. Thompson. St. Mary’s was the first Protestant Episcopal Church organized among African-American people in this section of the country. The Holy Eucharist is at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.
