Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Tishomingo State Park is an archeological buff's paradise. Archaeologists have found evidence of Paleo Indians having been in the area now known as Tishomingo State Park as early as 7,000 B.C. Activities to enjoy include a seasonal canoe float trip, swimming, disc golf, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. A multi-purpose sports field is on site.
