Oakwood Plantation is one of Mississippi's oldest continuously owned and operated farms, having been handed down in the Sojourner family since its establishment in 1814. This former planter's cottage, a fine example of Greek Revival architecture with a detailed Greek Doric facade, is rented entirely to one party. It features some original furniture, two bedrooms with private baths, a television, full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. A full Southern breakfast is served. The cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open year-round.
