The Botanical Gardens at Asheville features a collection of over 600 plants species that are native to the Southern Appalachian Mountains, one of the most diverse temperate ecosystems in the world. With species including trees, shrubs, wildflowers, vines, grasses and sedges, the Gardens is refuge to over 50 species that are considered uncommon, rare or endangered on a regional, state or federal level. Group tours are available.
