A wonderful self guided tour of one of Elizabeth City's five National Register Historic Districts that includes the largest number of brick antebellum commercial buildings in the state. You'll see beautiful early 19th and 20th century building that house specialty shops, antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries during this tour. Free tour brochures are available from the Chamber of Commerce and the Museum of the Albemarle.
