A managed forest designed to promote better understanding of the ecology of forests through exhibits, audio stations, well-marked hiking trails, signs, and ranger-conducted classes. The forest is open from mid-March to late November and includes a spacious picnic shelter with grills, picnic sites with tables, and walk-in tent sites.
