A collection of over 400 labeled species of native and rare trees and shrubs are located within this beautiful three acre park. The Arboretum was founded in 1936 and the historic Carolina Park was founded in 1904. Self-guided and guided tours available.

This park is conveniently located very close to the "Salt Block" aka the Science Museum Aquarium, Planetarium, Art Museum, and Library.

The trees are all neatly labeled. The park did not feature any flowers or other landscaping - only trees.

We found the arboritum a little on the small side and hardly worth the visit.
