Situated on 92 acres of rolling woodlands at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, the Cottages at Spring House Farm is comprised of log cabins which were built using timber and stone from the land along with reclaimed antique lumber and materials. The six secluded cabins contain handcrafted log beds, hot tubs, fireplaces, and full kitchens stocked with farm fresh eggs and fresh baked bread. ECOCLUB and The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) have recognized and listed the Cottages at Spring House Farm as a genuine eco-retreat, the first property in the United States listed by ECOCLUB International, based on ecological and sound conservation practices. They were also named one of the "Top Ten Best Hideaways" by Outside Magazine. The owners live in the former Federal/Greek Revival-style Albertus Ledbetter House, circa 1826, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
