Pilot Mountain, rising more than 1,400 feet above the upper Piedmont plateau, is the centerpiece of this State Park and is dedicated as a National Natural Landmark. A wide variety of recreational activities are available including camping, fishing, picnicking, rock climbing, hiking on 13 trails, horseback riding on two trails, and canoeing on the Yadkin River.
