Exploring the history of the decorative arts in the region, this museum is the only museum dedicated to exhibiting and researching original decorative arts of the early South and features 24 period rooms and seven galleries filled with furniture, paintings, ceramics, and much more that was used regionally through 1820. A wonderful book store is also on site that carries current and hard-to-find books on Southern decorative arts, culture, and history.
