I am writing this to let the people of Carrington a very warm thank you. I came down there on Wednesday June 16th for the Fair. I had 2 grandchildren with me. I can not say enough wonderful things. Everything and everybody was so polite, no shoving or anything. I have never spent almost 7 hours at a fair. You felt comfortable and nobody shoving and trying to sell things. Just everything about it was GREAT. And the food - if you left hungary it was your own fault. Thank you for the wonderful time. I will be there again next year. Elaine Chepulis Devils Lake, ND.

Are we ever going to get an online Independent newspaper from Carrington?
I left the area 60 years ago but have a strong bond with the area and love to get back about every three years. Will be going there again in October, 2010.

Dear Foster County Independent, you made a big mistake in your newspaper that came out today (10-30-2010)
I am Ron Krivoruchka (Ron K) running for the Wells County Sheriffs position against Sheriff Curt Pellet.
The ad you were supposed to post was that Ted Seibel is a write in canadate for the Wells County States Attorney's position NOT The Sheriff's position.
Please can you contact your and our radio station and correct the error.

Having been born and raised in Carrington, now living in Louisiana, I too would love to see an online edition of the Independent.

Yes, it would be nice to have an online newspaper. People that have moved away would really like to keep up with what is happening there.
