The Steele County Historical Society is a non-profit educational organization that was founded in 1966 to collect, preserve and make accessible to the public information and objects relating to the history of Steele County. Open year round with hours depending on the season, the Society's museum includes home, school, church and lodge furnishings, buggies, sleighs, vintage clothing, quilts, general store merchandise, newspapers, journals, family histories, photographs, toys, books, folk art, farm implements, musical instruments, cook stoves, windmills, spinning wheels and looms.
