Located in the Badlands of western North Dakota, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is comprised of three separate units: South Unit, Elkhorn Ranch and North Unit. There are three campgrounds in the park. The South Unit entrance and South Unit Visitor Center are located in Medora, just off Interstate 94. The North Unit entrance is located 16 miles south of Watford City along Highway 85. The Elkhorn Ranch Unit is 35 miles north of Medora.
