Double Ditch Indian Village State Historic Site

Site contains the ruins of a large Mandan Indian earthlodge village inhabited during 1675-1780. It was the site of the first scientific archaeological excavation on the upper Missouri River. A team from Harvard University, led by Bismarck native George Will, dug the site in 1905.
