Visit this mid-19th-century, Greek-revival style home to learn about Mary Baker Eddy's 18 years in Concord. It was here that Mrs. Eddy (the founder of Christian Science) undertook a landmark revision of her major work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." The tour includes exhibits on her birthplace in nearby Bow, and on Pleasant View (a farmhouse that Mrs. Eddy purchased and remodeled on the outskirts of Concord - no longer standing). From the house, it's a short walk to other related sites: the New Hampshire State House where a full-scale portrait of Mrs. Eddy can be seen, and First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, her gift to the citizens of Concord.
Guided tours are available May 1-Oct. 31, Monday and Saturday from 11am-2pm, also by appointment. From Nov. 1-April 30, guided tours are available by appointment. $5 suggested donation; Children under 12 free.
