With the mission "to enhance awareness, understanding and appreciation of the atmosphere, its complexity, its impact on the human experience and the many ways in which atmospheric phenomena are observed and interpreted," the Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center is an interactive science museum that allows visitors to "explore the science of climate and weather through fun, interactive exhibits like the air cannon, flow tank and wind room." Tours are available.
