John F. Johnson, Jr. Memorial Park

I brought my 7 yr old grandson to the park playground and he was playing with a group of children and fell and was pierced in his Scrotom with a wooden splinter from the wood chips used on the floor. My husband and I were able to remove it and it looked ok! However, his mom is taking him for further exams to be sure there is no serious problem. This is not a safe floor and should be re-done with "Rubber Chips" or another ground cover. I am reporting this incident to the Parks dept. Not a safe place for children.
