The permanent collection at this museum is comprised of over twenty thousand pieces that have artistic or historical significance, including over three hundred paintings and sketches by regional landscape painter August Will, as well as great collection of historic artifacts and photographs that reflect the history of the region; in addition, changing exhibits bring wonderful art collections from other times and places to Jersey City.
