I am sorry to say as an old "Newarker", the emeergence of the Renaissance city is AMISS! It should be labeled "The Wild, Wild' West", minus Wyatt Earp. What WE need is a TRUE SHERIFF IN TOWN INSTEAD OF THE PEOPLE IN THESE OFFICES MASQUERADING AS LAW OFFICIALS and POLITICIANS WITH A BACK BONE! As I peruse the daily newspapers, I am appalled with the lack of emphathy and care for our youngsters. We do not have to look at all the conflict over seas, our back yard is crawling with domestic terrorist that prey on innocent youths daily.Why is this issue not being dealt with more swiftly and getting all citizentry involved in effective curtailing this crisis? Finally, I would like to state if this violence was equatwed with a contagious disease the CDC would have quarrentine the whole city until the cris was contained. Fearing for the innocent that have no voice at all!

What in the Sam Hill does this have to do with JFK pool? This is not the forum. You need to learn your history and stop feeding into the media and misery of the city. Newark is up and coming and "They" want it back for sure. SO don't believe the hype. Besides, this time of crime happens in MANY LARGE CITIES and its not ok!
