The Historical Center for Southeast New Mexico is housed in the former, circa 1910, home of James Phelps White, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Victorian furniture, Battenberg lace, oak-beamed ceilings, stained glass windows, a recreated early 1900s kitchen, changing exhibits, featuring such subjects as the history of American fashions and the archives of the Historical Society, which include rare books, photos, and business and family records of early Southeastern New Mexico, are just some of the items you can view here.
