Dam Site Resort's Lodge is housed in a refurbished historic administration building that was built in 1911 as the administrative and engineering offices during the construction of Elephant Butte Dam. It contains a 30-person conference room and private antique-filled rooms with hardwood floors and private baths. Near Elephant Butte Lake, the "tourist cabins" were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1940. The Dam Site Marina is Elephant Butte Lake's original full-service marina. Guests can also enjoy freshly prepared seafood, steaks and Mexican foods at the on-site restaurant, a RV park, and the Dam Site Lounge and Bar that serves beer, liquors, package goods and their world famous margarita.
