Founded in 1791, making it one of the oldest museums in the United States; the Albany Institute of History & Art is dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting and promoting interest in the history, art and culture of Albany and the Upper Hudson Valley. The Albany Institute of History & Art is open Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
