One of just two public gardens in the New York State Parks System, this 50-acre estate was the Victorian summer home of New York City bank financier Frederick Ferris Thompson and his wife, Mary Clark Thompson, the daughter of New York State governor Myron Holley Clark. Property highlights include a 40-room Queen Anne-style mansion, garden statuary, nine formal gardens, and a Lord & Burnham Greenhouse complex, built between 1903-1915. Open seven days a week, rain or shine, May through October to the public.
