Originally built as a private residence for William Fithian in 1663, this house did not become a lodging establishment until 1770. Still retaining much of its original architectural and charm, the 1770 House offers six guest rooms and a carriage house, all of which come standard with private bathrooms, fine linens, flat-screen televisions, and Internet access. Some rooms even have fireplaces and private entrances. Chef Kevin Penner prepares refined contemporary American cuisine at the on-site restaurant while traditional pub fare is available in the pub.
