Established in 1883, this full service library houses an excellent collection of rare books related to the history of Lake Placid and the Adirondack region plus features a large selection of fiction and nonfiction books, videos, audiocassettes, and reference materials. They also feature displays of works by local artists, a children's story hour, and a computer lab.
