Suydam Homestead and Barn Museum (circa 1730) 1 Fort Salonga Road, Long Island, NY 11740, Located in Centerport, 631-754-1180, First built as a one room dwelling, additions to this historic house was made early on with the latest addition around 1830. The house was the abode of the Suydam family from its first construction until the 1950s and is now a museum and historic site that offers valuable insights into the construction, technology, and ways of life throughout the intervening years since it was first built.
