Serving Manhattan with over 50 years of experience in veterinary medicine, the doctors and staff of Kalvig & Shorter Veterinary Associates are pleased to offer their clients and patients personalized attention in customer service and patient care. As of April 1, 2013, we opened the brand new full service hospital at 133 East 39th Street, at Lexington Avenue. Our new facility will serve as the central location for all hospitalization services on site and for our ongoing Upper East Side practice by appointment, both on East 84Th St and by housecall.
Our practice was founded upon the strong belief in a critical need for thorough, honest, and compassionate service within all healthcare fields. Kalvig & Shorter Veterinary Associates best serves the individual needs of our many clients and their beloved pets by offering a kind and experienced approach to medicine, surgery, nursing care, and customer service. Top priority is always given to our patients' comfort, with extra attention provided by our staff of experienced and loving nurses.

We are pleased to offer a comprehensive range of hospital services including dentistry, radiology, and surgery with state of the art monitoring equipment, medical boarding, and complete out-patient services. In addition, we offer internal medicine consultations with procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, and echocardiograms, as well as surgical consultations for a wide range of orthopedic and soft tissue procedures available on site. We value the close relationships we share with top board- certified veterinary specialists in the fields of internal medical, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, oncology, nutrition, training and behavior, to offer the very best diagnostic and therapeutic advice to your pet at all times. As well, we offer excellent referrals to top trainers, dog walkers, daycare, boarding facilities and grooming salons.
