This New York City brownstone is the birthplace and boyhood home of Teddy Roosevelt, the United States' 26th President. His original birthplace was demolished in 1916, but the site was purchased by the Women's Roosevelt Memorial Association and rebuilt. It contains many of its original furnishings, five period rooms, two museum galleries, and a bookstore.
