The 18th century limestone home of Sir William Johnson, England's Superintendent of Indian Affairs during the French and Indian War, is now the current home of the Montgomery County Historical Society and is a National Historic Landmark. Here visitors can take a peek into the social, cultural, military, and industrial past of the Mohawk Valley. They also view original Johnson family pieces including a cherry highboy, banister back armchair, and a set of 5 cherry Chippendale side chairs.
