An important regional art institution located in a circa 1898, Italianate-style house, the Parrish Art Museum was founded by Samuel Longstreth Parrish (1849-1932). The museum showcases an array of rotating exhibits of works of various artists, as well as a permanent collection that is proudly centered on the works of American Impressionist painter William Merrit Chase.
