Organized in 1982, to bring together people interested in tracing their ancestry, members of Westchester County Genealogical Society can study methods of genealogical research and exchange information helpful in their search for family roots. A growing collection of books and genealogical research material are maintained at the Yorktown Family History Center on Route 134 (about ¾ mile east of the Taconic Parkway), in Yorktown, New York.
