Operated under the aegis of the Summit County Historical Society, that also preserves and maintains the John Brown House and the Old Stone School, this picturesque stone mansion was built by Colonel Simon Perkins Jr., the son of Akron’s founder, General Simon Perkins; this wonderfully restored mansion is perhaps the best example of Greek Revival architecture throughout the whole state of Ohio.
