Founded in 1955, to collect, preserve and interpret the history of Bedford, Bedford Township and portions of the Western Reserve, the Bedford Historical Society maintains the 1874 Town Hall, 1892 Old Baptist Church, 1832 Hezekiah Dunham House and the 1882 Wheeling & Lake Erie Train Depot, all of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Society's annual Strawberry Festival is held on the second weekend of June each year.
