A Gothic Revival-style home built on a hill overlooking the town, Oak Hill Cottage houses furniture and contents from the Victorian period of the more than 100 years of occupation by the Dr. Johannes Jones family. As part of the restoration of Oak Hill, the Richland County Historical Society has purchased and restored a carriage house that was originally part of the Oak Hill property, along with the turn-of-the-century Sears catalog house across Oak Hill Place that also occupies a lot originally part of the grounds.
