For more than 40-years, The Springfield Arts Council has presented the annual "Summer Arts Festival," providing admission-free concerts, theater, and entertainment experiences from mid-June through mid-July in Veteran's Park Amphitheater in downtown Springfield, OH. The Arts Council has also been the area leader for over 30-years in bringing first-class Broadway and national touring attractions to the community with its "Broadway and Beyond Series." The Council's "Arts in the Classroom" program adds value to school arts curricula and helps to build future arts audiences by annually providing professional performing artists to area schools. In addition, the Springfield Arts Council's outreach efforts, including the "Creative Connections Series" presented with The Heritage Center, "The Costume Collection," and partnerships with Center City Association's "Holiday in the City" and the City of Springfield's "CultureFest," strengthen the Council's mission and involvement in the Springfield community.
