Adjacent to Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve, near the Blue Jacket Outdoor Drama, Clifton Mill, Buck Creek State Park, Caesar Creek State Park and the Air Force Museum, John Bryan State Park contains a limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River, a designated state and national scenic river. A day-use lodge, 60 electric and non-electric campsites, 13 trails, a rock climbing and rappelling area, and more can be found at John Bryan State Park. Visitors often enjoy such activities as camping, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, boating, and picnicking.
