Founded in 1891, this society is dedicated to preserving historical artifacts related to Coos County history and features beautiful intricate baskets made by Coos and Coquille Indians, as well as a dugout canoe used on inland waterways in its museum. Numerous other exhibits and artifacts portraying the lives of the area's first settlers are also on display.
