Featuring 12 major exhibits, representing a variety of geographic locations, the Oregon Zoo, the oldest zoo west of the Mississippi, seeks to present animals in their native habitats, including an African Rainforest and Alaskan Tundra. The zoo has close to 1,880 specimens representing 270 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. The zoo also features the Wells Fargo Summer Concert Series from June through August.
