The Horseshoe Curve is a 2,375-foot curvature that officially opened for rail traffic on February 15, 1854. The “Funicular” is an incline plane that takes visitors from the visitor’s center at Horseshoe Curve Historic Landmark up to the train tracks of Horseshoe Curve.
